Meet Jess
A native of Northern Virginia, I love living and working here. It has everything you could want in DC from city life, winning hockey/sports team, to amazing options for wedding and social venues. From rustic barn weddings, classy vineyards and even the gorgeous ballrooms, there are so many options. I am a ballroom gal myself. I got engaged at the Georgetown waterfront and eventually married the love of my life overlooking the Potomac River. I loved everything about planning my wedding including the fact that I had an awesome wedding coordinator that helped bring all my details together on the wedding day. It was such a great investment for me and my family. After the wedding, I wasn’t ready to call it quits. I was inspired by the work my coordinator did on my wedding day and I threw myself at the opportunity to provide brides the opportunity to combine a well thought out wedding day without all the large dollar signs. If you ask my friends about me, everyone will say I am the epitome of a detail oriented, motivated, energizer bunny never settling for good. I always seem to find 25 hours in the day and want to apply my energetic spirit to making your wedding day the best it can be.

After my husband and I planned our wedding in 2018, I thought “Well, that was (mostly) fun. I wouldn’t mind doing that again!” I figured that every bride thought that after planning their wedding though, so imagine my surprise when I said this aloud to some people and they looked at me like I was crazy! After realizing this was a rare position to take, I decided to put my skills toward helping make other couples’ days as special as mine was. I planned my wedding in an industrial, rustic setting replete with personal touches – I searched high and low in order to find options that worked for us. I, too, had a great day-of coordinator that allowed me to focus on what was most important. My role with Completely Coordinated gives me a similar opportunity to marry (pun totally intended!) my ability to organize and personalize with my passion for helping others celebrate life’s biggest moments. Growing up in northwest Indiana, I developed a keen eye and strong appreciation for all things homemade early on—think of your big day like one of my quilts with me making sure the various pieces are measured, cut and stitched to perfection, with love!

I’ve called DC home for the last seven years, having grown up in Fort Collins, Colorado, I’ve always felt pulled to the vibe and pace of this city. I find incredible joy in witnessing the love between two people and its remarkable how many ways one can plan the day of their dreams. Paying attention to details and guest experience are what light me up! I have a genuine love for creating inclusive experiences that seem effortless – we do the work up front, the planning, and decision making so that when that day arrives, it’s smooth sailing. And when it’s not smooth, you won’t need to worry about it! The staff at your event should help you to “host” your guests, we take care of the behind-the-scenes elements, so you can enjoy every moment. My fiancée and I are in the midst of planning our September 2020 wedding in Denver, Colorado. I have absolutely loved the process and have learned that trusting the professionals we’ve hired is key – utilizing recommendations and going with our gut instinct have made for an event planning process that feels like us. My job as a coordinator is to ensure that your day feels like you!

If there was one word to describe me, it would be diligent. Growing up a Jersey girl, our hustle is nonstop! My meticulousness and “always up for a challenge” attitude got me through culinary school, but I quickly realized that I was seeking more in a career. After graduating, I married the airman of my dreams. We had a beautiful destination wedding in San Diego, which we planned and coordinated ourselves. We had our hands full and although we had a venue coordinator, we ended up delegating little tasks to our loved ones. I wish we had a professional to help us tie the loose ends of our vision together for our big day. After that, I realized I had a strong desire to coordinate events from start to finish. I really enjoy the details in between. Working with clients and bringing their unique visions to life is something I take very seriously. For me planning an event is like baking- I plan for all the ingredients, strategically put them together with great care, and afterwards, add the beautiful finishing touches. The love we witness is the cherry on top!
